My Rabbit Bio
Last Updated: 4-28-2015
Hi, my name is Trevor Sierzputowski. I am a small rabbitry located in Northern Indiana. I have named my rabbitry " Trevor's StarBucks and Does Rabbitry." I am an ARBA (American Rabbit Breeder Association) registered rabbitry and an ARBA member. My rabbitry number is D2754. I have just started my rabbitry in the summer of 2012 and I am still learning many things about rabbits. I got my first rabbit in 2009 and have loved rabbits ever since. He was a great example of a rabbit with a personality. My first pet was Rusty. I decided to get another pet rabbit, Dalilah. They are both pictured above. They began my passion for rabbits. In the summer of 2012 is when I started buying more rabbits for showing and breeding them. Right now I raise Black, Blue, Chocolate, Gray, and Steel Dutch and Solid and Broken Holland Lops. I have just recently gotten into the variety of Blues and Grays in my Dutch herd. I started in Blues at the 2014 National Dutch Show. It was the first national show I've ever attended. It was a great experience and we plan to go to the 2015 and 2016 NDS. We attended the 2014 National Convention in Fort Worth, TX, and to our great surprise we showed amazingly for our first national convention. We won 3 Dutch classes, Black Sr. Does with our homegrown doe Paige, 1st Chocolate Jr. Buck, and 1st Steel Jr. Doe. We also had 3rd Black Sr. Buck (Ace), 2nd Blue Jr. Buck (Booberry), and 3 Blue Jr. Doe (Dorsi). We also attended the 2015 National Dutch Show! We had some very nice placings! We had 11th and 17th Black Sr. Bucks, 4th, 8th, and 24th Black Sr. Does (Congrats to my friend Wyatt Rogers for his 1st place Black Sr. Doe!), 2nd and 8th Black Jr. Bucks (I sold my 2nd place buck, Drake, to my good friend Julia Maddock), 7th Black Jr. Doe, 4th Chocolate Sr. Buck, 8th Chocolate Sr. Does (She was also Best Choc. Fur), 6th Gray Sr. Buck, 6th Gray Jr. Buck, and 6th Steel Sr. Does. It was a great National Dutch Show and I also got 3 more rabbits that will be a great addition to my herd! Thanks and congrats to Lonnie Harper on one for letting me own 2 of his rabbits, and two for his Best Of Breed Open with a phenomenal Black Jr. Doe! Some rabbits could be used for showing, but not all rabbits are showable or even show quality. Some rabbits could be show quality just not recommended to show due to a fault. If a rabbit isn't showable or show quality it will be sold as a pet or may be a good addition to your brood stock. I breed year around in my air conditioned and heated barn. Almost all the time I may have a litter that could be sold once old enough. I will never sell any of my rabbits under the age of 8 weeks old. I will mostly always have rabbits for sale year around. Visit my For Sale page! If you do not see what your looking for it doesn't mean I don't have it, I may not have it posted. Just send me an email and I'll let you know what I have. If I do not have what your looking for let me know and I can probably direct you to someone that does have what your looking for. If you need to contact me the best way would be through email and I will email back as soon as possible. If you have any helpful information that may benefit my rabbitry, I would appreciate it a lot! Thanks for visiting my website, I hope you can share my website with your friends so my rabbitry will become the best that is can be! Also please like my page on Facebook! Best In Show Dutch
My homegrown doe, Paige won BIS at the Columbia City, IN show! She has been a doe that has shown fantastically. She has 14 legs, 11 BOB, 1 BOS, and 2 BOV. Along with that she has won 2 Best 4-Classes and a Best Of Group at the 2014 Spring Nappanee, IN show. She has been a great doe to help in our herd. We plan to take her to Dutch Nationals as a Sr. Doe entry and we also plan to taker her to our County Fair, and 2014 National Convention. I'm so
Best Of Breed Dutch
At my 2013 4-H fair I won Best Of Breed with a Black Dutch Jr. Doe. Paiton (the BOB winner) surprised me greatly and I was very excited when she was awarded BOB out of 26 total Dutch. When she won BOB at our county fair she was just shy of being 5 months old! This was my first year of showing rabbits in our fair. We showed in the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair. Her Dam is Top Notch Lotsa Mocha and her Sire is Top Notch TN12. Thank you to Tonya Rogers for your wonderful rabbits that produced such a great baby. Also thank you to everyone else who has helped me get great stock to make my rabbitry as great as it is right now, and still improving greatly.
BOB at ISRBA Rabbit Show
This is Paiton who won her 2nd BOB at her second show she has ever been to. Show A didn't go so well, but at the end of the day I ended up getting BOB with my Sr. Dutch Doe in Youth Show B under Mark Jacobs. He took his time looking at all of the wonderful rabbits in the running for the BOB and BOS. For Dutch I had a Gray Jr. Buck, Gray Jr. Doe, and a Steel Sr. Doe up there that took BOV or BOSV along with Paiton. I cant wait for Paiton's show career to take off!
BOS at South Bend, IN Rabbit Show
This is Bart with his first BOS. Bart won BOS under judge Tom Berger. Bart showed up to the show with his nice show coat on that day. Since then Bart won another BOS at Wabash, IN show. Since then, Bart at 8 months old broke his back while we were gone one day and we came home to him just lying there and couldn't get up. the next morning he was worse so we thought it was in his best interest that he would need to be put down. We miss our Bart so much, but are hoping for more great animals like him.
BOB & BOS at Wabash, IN Rabbit Show A
This is when I got Best Of Breed and Best Opposite Sex in one show for the first time! Julia is on the left and Bart is on the right. They were awarded these positions by judge Caleb Thomas. At this point Julia has a litter and Bart has passed. Julia has 2 BOB's now! I have never had a rabbit with better fur texture and density than Julia. Julia and Bart are both homegrown bunnies and they are brother and sister from the same litter. I'm going to be recreating that breeding to boost my stock with the fur texture and the nice flesh. So proud of them and we miss Bart so much.
BOB & BOS Wabash, IN Rabbit Show B
Again this is my other 2 time BOB winner Julia. And my Gray Jr. Buck bred by Tonya Rogers, who has really helped me with my Dutch herd. They won Best Of Breed and Best Opposite Sex under judge Justin Lowe. He was a great judge along with a ton of others. He liked the way my Gray Jr. Buck was growing out and told my he'll be a nice show buck. Again Julia and Harry showed up with very nice coats at that show. I can't wait for these buns to grow out to breed and watch my stock take off. A huge thank you to all judges out there.
